On May 29th, 2025, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN) hosted a teacher training workshop focused on the creation of Open Educational Resources (OER) using Canva AI. The event was organized by TUCN representatives Vlad Bocăneț and Florina Șerdean as part of the Erasmus+ Gate2Math project.
This interactive, hands-on session introduced participants to Canva AI, a powerful generative tool that simplifies the design of high-quality visual content. Educators explored how to efficiently develop engaging educational materials, customize templates, and generate original visuals to support their teaching objectives.
Designed to be accessible for both seasoned educators and newcomers to digital tools, the workshop emphasized practical skills and creative applications of AI in the classroom.
The training represents a significant step in advancing Gate2Math’s mission: building a multilingual digital library of open educational resources for mathematics in engineering. The resources will be available in seven languages—German, English, Spanish, Catalan, Estonian, Portuguese, and Romanian—ensuring broad accessibility and impact across Europe.
